Upcoming classes

Upper Body Lymphatics at The Cayce/Reilly School in Virginia Beach

Full body Lymphatics in Winston-Salem November 10-11

Full body Lymphatics at Lake Tahoe December 15-16

The lymphatic system is an amazingly complex structure. It works hand in hand with both the circulatory and the digestive system.
Lymphocytes are the disease-fighting cells of the immune system. They are produced and housed mainly in lymphatic tissue. This includes the thymus gland, the spleen, the lymph nodes and the lymphatic tissue that lines the small intestine (called Peyer's patches, or more commonly, aggregated lymphatic follicles).

Lauren recognized the importance of the Lymphatic system throughout the body and the relationship to the bodies overall health.

Techniques presented in these classes can be effective for...

          • reducing edema and local swelling
          • stimulating a sluggish immune system
          • supporting immunity enhancing skin health
          • inducing deep relaxation
          • decreasing scar tissue adhesions
          • reducing varicose veins

Many recipients of this technique report dramatic improvements in their concerns...including an overall 'lightness'.

Many clients have found that having this technique spring and fall aids their seasonal transitions....fewer colds, etc.

The Shoulder at The Cayce/Reilly School in Virginia Beach.

Get ready to explore the workings of the Shoulder ....

Each student will build a clay model of the shoulder joint and supporting tissue. As each muscle, tendon and ligament is assembled and attached, techniques to stretch, correct and manipulate that specific muscle will be presented, practiced, and reviewed.

Techniques and protocol include:

        • How to specifically reposition misplaced tissue
        • How to identify and release adhesions within soft tissue structures and layers
        • How to quickly correct soft tissue distortion
        • How to recognize and address adaptive compensation
        • How to decipher the clues the body is revealing
        • Understanding its role in the health and function of the elbow and wrist

How many of your clients experience 'upper back/trapezius tension'?

Consider the possibilities that a distortion, adhesion, and/or spasm within the Serratus is creating a tension that the Trapezius is responding to....maybe the Trapezius is an innocent bystander, simply in a tug-o-war with the Serratus!!!!!

Coming soon......... downloadable tutorials addressing individual muscles...

This will be for therapists who are wanting a deeper understanding of specific muscles.

It will follow the form similar to that used in my classes.

For example...

You have seen a number of clients with hip problems, and the piriformis is just not relaxing enough...(You and your clients really like instantly noticeable results) You wonder.... maybe I'm just one technique, one tool in my tactile toolbox, one simple move away from that instantly noticeable result. You are willing to spend a small amount of time and money researching with your computer. You go to www.musclemanagement.com/tutorials, click on Piriformis and WaLa....information on the Piriformis.

  1. Information on common Piriformis adhesions and distortions.

  2. Video tutorials guiding you through corrective techniques and procedures for reducing Piriformis adhesions, trigger points and correcting distortions.

  3. Piriformis illustrations and animations.

For those who have taken any of my classes the format will seem familiar, with new information, and in greater detail. It is a good/easy way to review, refresh, and learn.

For those that have not yet taken any classes with me, these are a very good place to start.

Muscles to be covered initially include: Piriformis,TFL...does anyone have a request?

Later there will be tutorials on self help for ....Hips, Necks,....does anyone have a request?

My goal is not so much to teach you ‘what to do’ as it is to show you how to 'see' what to do.
